Update July 2, 2011:

Pope Benedict XVI has appointed Bishop Robert F. Vasa as the new head of the Diocese of Santa Rosa, Calif., after accepting the resignation of Bishop Daniel F. Walsh from the post.The succession was announced on June 30 by Monsignor Jean-Francois Lantheaume at the Apostolic Nunciature in Washington, D.C.
